To help you choose the right door for you, let us take you on a special journey: a journey inside an Alias door.
To choose your ideal door, you need to know how it is built and how to recognise the high-quality standards - from the perspective of performance and aesthetics - that distinguish it.
Consider that the economic value you give to the security door is the same as that you would place on home security and the safety of your loved ones. With that in mind, you are choosing a product that has to be precious and durable, designed and built to be efficient and perform over time, in addition to being beautiful...

They differ depending on the aesthetic finish that you wish to achieve (as in the case of satin interior wall or external plaster wire doors) but also the desired performance (as in the case of the thermal break models "Thermal" and "Island" where the steel and PVC frame, thanks to a patented solution by the ALIAS research & development department, guarantees extremely high thermal insulation values)
LISTEN TO THE FOLLOWING INTERVIEW
This is the connecting point between the wall and the actual door frame. It represents a sort of galvanised "skeleton" of the security door. It can be bricked over or tessellated to the wall (with which it becomes a single piece) and is suitable for interior and exterior environments. It can be ordered and delivered to the customer in advance of the production and delivery of the door. Generally, construction companies prefer to have it first to get a head start on the masonry work and installation. It can be fixed to the wall up to a few hours before the installation of the door.

VIEW PANEL WITH VISIBLE/CONCEALED HINGES
All Alias doors are equipped with cover hinges and screw covers printed specifically for Alias, elements that are left exposed in most of the security doors on the market. Also, the seals, designed and extruded directly from the dies of the Alias production departments for improved aesthetic performance, are grey if combined with frames and an aluminium finish.

THE FRAME
SEE BOTTOM MOVABLE SILL
The door frame can be fitted with: - Visible hinges which allow the door to be aligned and are equipped with cover hinges - Concealed hinges which let the door be coplanar to the frame.
Alias was the first company to patent concealed hinges for security doors.
Alias has also patented a particular style, placed on the frame pillar, which allows the easy adjustment of the latch: by moving and/or rotating it slightly, you can find the ideal position for its perfect operation.
The frame is the supporting element that, fixed to the subframe, guarantees the union between the movable door and the subframe to form, in this way, a single piece that is integral to the wall. Like the subframe, this is also made of steel and undergoes processing and laser welding processing within the Alias production departments, thanks to technologically advanced industrial machinery, which enhances the taste for impeccable detailing. The frame is exposed in all the traditional door models, excluding the internal flush-to-wall collections (Wing System) and the ones whose cladding panels are coplanar (Flat Collection). This is why you can choose from a wide range of colours: to enable it to be combined with the finish of the door panelling or with the colours of the furnishings and plasterwork of your home.

PERIMETRAL PROFILE
• Your door's order number. This is a valuable number because it allows us to trace the history of your door at any time: the dealer who ordered it, its internal structure, the type of lock mounted, etc. In short, thanks to this number, we have an immediate snapshot of your door and can then intervene, consistently ready to support our dealers and, indirectly, their customers.
• CE marking. It guarantees the product's conformity to all European Community requirements: from design, manufacture, placing on the market and putting the product into service until its disposal.
• LAlias doors also undergo continual and rigorous factory checks and testing of their anti-burglary performance and thermal and noise insulation by prestigious Italian and international certification bodies.

Made of profiled and laser-welded galvanised steel, it can vary according to the desired performance, the level of anti-burglary protection you want to obtain, internal reinforcements, closing points, and the prediction of visible or concealed hinges.

PEEPHOLE
Alias doors are equipped with a traditional peephole.
If you prefer, however, you can equip your door with Alias's optional electronic peephole, which gives you a clear and magnified image to see who is at your door through a screen with a digital viewer.

The production of a quality security door - from the technological, performance and aesthetic points of view - comes first and foremost from its design.
Given that this is the first deterrent that a possible attacker is faced with if he has targeted your apartment, it is clear that the economic value you attribute to it is the same as you attribute to your home security, your privacy, and your safety and that of your loved ones.
When choosing a security door, you should carefully consider the safety of the structure and the lock.

For this reason, Alias uses only the best locks on the market:
EUROPEAN CYLINDER
SEE EUROPEAN CYLINDER IMAGE
The cylinder is a very important element of the security door because it is subject to constant use over time and is the first point of attack by thieves. Firstly, it must be reliable and resistant to wear, which can cause a mechanical play that could facilitate a thief in manipulating it.
Alias has therefore chosen to equip the lock with European cylinders, by far the most requested solution in comparison to the old double-bit system for their technical performance and practicality.
One of the most appreciated aspects is the size of the key, easily pocket-sized. The real advantage is the possibility to perform master keying, which allows you to open several locking systems with the same key.
Alias has chosen three different types of European cylinders, which vary in price and security:
Type E - Type A - Type S.
We recommend Type A (provided for anti-burglary class 3) or Type S (provided for anti-burglary class 4) because these cylinders - equipped with special springs and specially designed construction details - have anti-bumping certifications.
Therefore, they guarantee the immunity of the cylinder from bumping attempts, one of the most common methods of lock manipulation for even high-security locks, through the use of a particular specially filed key and some hammer strikes.
For our "Wing" door collections, which have the characteristic of being flush to the internal wall, we have provided a unique opening and closing system, designed for Alias by architect Ivo Pellegri. It is called "GoQuick". Simple to use, it is characterised by an extreme formal and aesthetic cleanliness. From the inside, we can remove or retract the key turn with a simple gesture, without needing additional keys or knobs.
You can simply lift the handle to close and lower it to open. The handle always "returns" to an elegant horizontal position. If you prefer, for example if you want to coordinate the handle of the front door with that of the other doors in your home, you can also order handles from different brands.
In addition to the interior and exterior “cladding”, the choice of accessories is also important. The shape and finish of the handles must be coordinated with the design of the door. Take time to imagine the possible combinations: the details make the difference!
It is possible to fit pass-through handles from the inside to the outside, rather than fixed knobs or handles. Alias has several models ready for delivery, from the more squared to the more rounded shapes, in various finishes: bronze, brass, satin or glossy chrome aluminium, matt white, graphite grey and matt black.

All Alias doors come with anti-drill and tear-resistant Defender.
